More snaps

I've updated my site with a fair few pictures over the last few days, the Blue Mountains & Katoomba pictures are below in the next post, also a few more posts down you can find a link to the pictures that were taken on my birthday, when Shaun and myself wandered on down to the ice bar called Minus 5 in Circular Quay. Also, a few of us went to a new restaurant in Paramatta called Transistor, there are only a few pics there but in the same gallery is a load of snaps taken of people at work and on nights out with peeps from work.... Click the picture of Dennis having a snort on the right hand side for those and more of the Blackbird crew..

Peace Out....

Oh, One last thing before I start thinking of some excuse for not going to the gym shortly.... I should thank my family back home in Chelmsford for sending me a cool little photo album full of nice pictures of them and the lil' kiddies Harrison & William. Also the French Connection t-shirt was a nice addition to the package as well as the birthday cards and the bag full of sweeties! Thankyou darlings! x x x

Blue Mountains

I had a lovely trip to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains last week, I only stayed for a couple of nights but I did plenty, visited the Jenolan Caves and I did a little bit of easy bushwalking along the fringe of Katoomba. The Blue Mountains are absolutely awesome and it was great to get away from the Sydney city skyline. There was not a single McDonald's in sight and the town was fairly small and pretty dead to be honest, but it was nice to get some peace and quiet...

I'd write much more, but I have got to meet Lou for coffee and a lil' chat about our forthcoming east coast adventures.... I will write about my little trip soon enough. In the meantime, check out my gallery because I took loads of pictures and I'm sure they will be interesting enough for you peeps to look at for at least several minutes and wish you weren't all stuck in shitty jobs or meaningless degree courses and that you'd rather be out here with lovely little me..... I'm only joking, I'm sure that degree you are doing at the moment will land you a PERFECT career in your dream job.... Heh heh....

Enough sarcastic malarky... CLIK HERE 4 PICZ!!!......

Change of address.... and stuff..

Todays my day off, yay! But this is just a quick note to say that we've moved apartments, we're still in the same building, but the landlord has sold our old flat so we got put in another apartment two floors down, its exactly the same, (perhaps a lot cleaner if anything!) so my address is now;

185/102 Miller Street,
Pyrmont,
Sydney,NSW
2009

I've been ill over the weekend with some sort of stomach bug, everything I eat I disagree with, which was lovely when finishing off a 46 hour working week working Saturday night and all day yesterday. Hoping to be better for tomorrow, the former owner of the place where I work is opening a new restaurant in Paramatta, which is west of Sydney CBD, so me and a peep or two from work are going over for dinner and drinks.

Midweek, I'm going to get my ass to the Blue Mountains for a day or two, as I have some more time off work. Finally, I get to do some proper travelling! Gotta book a hostel and plan some sort of itinerary, (not that I will stick to it...) The weather forecast predicts rain but who cares, I need some sort of escape from the city. Its only a 2 hour train journey from Central Sydney so I can always come again on a sunny day.

Thats about it I reckon...

Farväl,

Steve.

Ooooh I met someone from Neighbours..

I forgot to write about this, but a couple of Sunday's ago Toady from Neighbours was in our restaurant/cafe for lunch...

Look at me, schmoozing with the stars. He signed a couple of menu's, one for Louise, and I got him to write one for Shaun (who is now up in Brizzie)...

Shaun if you are reading this, why isn't your phone working? "Hemmm?!"..

Mhhhmmmmmmm

Haven't done much today, went to work, felt tired all day as I've been out on the razzle the last couple of nights....

Bought the Annual 2006 which is alright, and a Daft Punk cd called "Daft Club", remixes of some of their stuff... Pretty cool I think you'll agree if you give it a listen...

The weather is still nice yep.... My day off tomorrow, gonna go to the gym (if I don't go, someone please shoot me, or cancel my Fitness First membership!) and catch some rays. Need to buy one of those metal sparkling wine/champagne stopper things (what are they called?) for work, and whilst I'm at it Sara (new barmaid at work) needs a bar blade, as she keeps stealing mine, and has already stolen my best wine bottle opener....

Yes, this is how interesting my week has been....

I'm off, I need my bed.

Hope you are all ok?

Stevie

Ouch I've turned.... 24..

Twenty-four, yes it was my birthday almost 2 weeks ago... I don't feel old but I do...(?!) I don't really want to think about it actually! On my birthday I went to an ice bar near the Opera House called Minus 5. Everything was made of ice and there were loads of nice sculptures in there, I only took a few decent photos because my big fat gloves got in the way of the lens. The glasses were made of ice and we got served a couple of fairly lacklustre (alcoholic content wise) cocktails.

Shaunie & moi with some random geezer we met in the ice bar, who didn't talk much...

Then me and Shaun headed up to the 'Cross' (where else to go out but a district full of hookers and skanky clubs & bars!?) met a few friends along the way, Kristin, Adam & Dagmar, got very drunk before me and Shaun went to a fairly 'decent' strip club. Although I don't remember much of the strip club we spent all our money but we got an extra bit of a dance from the nice lady, she probably felt sorry for us because we didn't have much cash... Then after our privvy dance we sat by the lil' stage bit in the main bar and she came and danced up on the poles for us... Shaun wanted to find a decent club but I was hammered by the end of the night so I thought that a kip in Hyde Park seemed like a good idea at the time... We got woken up by some strange man telling us that we can't sleep there, the 24-hour McDonald's was our next stop, after that I don't remember anything!

I haven't checked my e-mails for over two weeks, so I'm sorry if I haven't replied to anyone lately, I'm still well and things are still fun at work. Although we have new owners and I think they are trying to turn the place a bit more professional, which means less fun. Anyhoo a few of us have just been getting drunk in the bar which makes the nights much more fun! Plus they are paying us more! Last night I was a bit tipsy and I set some shots of Green Chartreuse on fire... Then I knocked one over and set a bit of the bar on fire!! Luckily I had the soda post-mix gun on hand to hose down the bar and also get a customer or two a little bit wet. I have blisters on my hands too as I set a cloth on fire hehehe... We had a big bar dance last night too, the new two bar peeps Sara and Alex seemed to have fun anyway. Sara is fairly hot and all the guys seem to drool over her, Irish Alex really knows his stuff, and there is another girl Nadia who's from Manchester and she's a good laugh too. They all have between 6 to 8 years experience in bars each, so me with my 9 months experience makes me feel a lil' bit uncomfortable when I'm supposed to be running the bar asking them to do stuff...

Shaun has moved out and gone up to Brisbane, I've got a new roomy who is from London, I got home this morning and he'd brought a girl back home, git!

My iPod keeps dying, and I haven't been to the gym in about 2 weeks, so so lazy! I spend half the time with a hangover or a headache!

Will do something interesting next week... Perhaps.

Adios.

Stevie.
