Out of Dougies and into Nimrods..

Morning Chickaroos....

Its pretty well known around here that its a bit difficult to find an apartment when you are only staying for several weeks, most are a fair way out of the town centre too. I was prepared to just live at Dougie's backpackers until I left Port Douglas, but Tai, (who I work with at La Cucina) said that there was a spare room where she was living. Myself and a friend Kevin have moved into a twin room and its $90 (each) per week. Sure beats $110 a week to stay in a stylee tent in a noisy hostel!

The weather is a bit pap, and although its coming into Spring soon (I think?!) there is rain all over the place, today its just cloudy. Its always warm though.

Its my day off today, which is good because I'd had enough of work yesterday, the old coffee machine finally blew up and so we had no hot drinks. Plus we had no polishing cloths so polishing wine glasses proved to be very frustrating. Tonight I think I'll enjoy a few bevvies at 'Gone Bananas', which is a lovely lil' restaurant with a bar that usually gets filled on 'Hospitality Night', which happens to be on a Monday night.... Gotta find something to do with myself in the daytime though!
